To start, we were paired up and asked to take portraits that were creative, given the materials we had to work with, portraits that captured the personailty of our partner.
Then, using whatever materials we could see in the room, take self portraits that were unconventional.
I took this self portrait using the reflective screen of a Mac;
Creating a distorted image using aluminium foil;
Self portraits that didn't involve our faces, that still expressed something about ourselves;
(The red string symbolises our ties to fate which is a popular belief in Japan.)
